Elementum Energy Announces Winners of the 2026 Social Projects Competition


Elementum Energy has announced the results of its 2026 Social Projects Competition for communities located near the company’s solar power plants. This year, 15 projects from communities across Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Poltava regions will receive support, benefiting 20 towns and villages. The total funding awarded exceeds UAH 1.7 million.

This year’s winning initiatives will help ensure reliable water supply during power outages, support healthcare and social care facilities, develop inclusive and educational spaces, and promote environmental practices and renewable energy solutions.

Winning Projects

Eco Start: “Waste-Free School” (Kamianska Community, Verbliuzhka village)

The project will introduce a waste sorting system and organic waste recycling through vermicomposting at the local school. It aims to foster environmentally responsible habits among pupils, parents and community members.

“Tokarivka Digital Library: Quality. Accessibility. Future” (Veselynove Community, Tokarivka village

The village library will be transformed into a modern digital hub featuring workstations, access to online services and digital literacy training for residents.

“Solar Lights on the Eco Trail” (Novi Sanzhary Community)

The ecological trail “My Path to Environmental Awareness” will be equipped with autonomous solar-powered lighting and an information board about renewable energy.

“Water for Every Home” (Blahovishchenske Community)

A backup power supply system will be installed for an artesian well, ensuring uninterrupted water supply even during electricity outages.

“Solar Energy for Reliable Water Supply in Yavkyne” (Bashtanka Community)

The project will expand the capacity of the existing solar power plant that supports the local water supply system.

“Energy Resilience of Kazanka Community through Energy Independence of the Palliative Care Unit” (Kazanka Community)

An energy storage system will be installed in the hospital’s palliative care unit to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical equipment.

“Clean Water – Healthy Community” (Sukhoielanets Community, Buzke village)

A reverse osmosis water purification system will be installed to improve drinking water quality for local residents.

“Mobility for Care: Electric Scooters for Rapid Response to the Needs of Residents in Remote Villages” (Mohylne Community)

Electric scooters will enable social workers, healthcare professionals and other specialists to provide services more efficiently to residents of six remote villages.

“Light of Support: An Energy-Resilient Social Support Space” (Doroshivka Community)

The project will create a community space capable of operating during power outages while providing access to essential services and support.

“Solar Flow – Energy Independence for the Water Utility” (Mala Vyska Community)

A solar power plant will be installed at an artesian well to power pumping equipment and ensure reliable water supply.

“Ensuring Water Supply for Part of Kosivka Village” (Pryiutivka Community)

The project includes construction of a hybrid solar power plant with energy storage and modernisation of the local pumping infrastructure.

“Light of Care” (Novoukrainka Community)

The initiative will support the uninterrupted operation of a social care institution and ensure assistance to vulnerable groups during energy-related disruptions.

“SMART Inclusive Resource Centre: Tools for Effective Support of People with Special Educational Needs” (Pryvilne Community)

The Inclusive Resource Centre will be equipped with modern computer and multimedia equipment, enabling interactive learning and the preparation of high-quality educational materials for children and adults with special educational needs.

“EcoLab Space – A Place for Environmental Awareness and Action” (Veselynove Community, Mykhailivka village)

A modern educational space will be created for practical activities focused on environmental protection, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

“Barrier-Free Multi-Space ‘Active Generation’” (Yelanets Community)

A barrier-free space for learning, leisure, communication and personal development will be established at the central library, serving residents of all ages.

“This year’s competition demonstrated the maturity of local communities and their readiness to address challenges proactively. All 15 winning projects directly contribute to the three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that formed the foundation of this year’s competition: Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Action. The Social Projects Competition is implemented by Elementum Energy in partnership with the Initiative Community Development Foundation and is designed to support communities where the company’s solar power plants operate.
