Elementum Energy is launching its 2026 Community Social Projects Competition. The initiative aims to support local ideas that help communities grow, strengthen their resilience, and improve everyday life for residents.

Applications are accepted from NGOs and charitable organizations, community self-organization bodies, initiative groups of at least 10 people, as well as local authorities and municipal enterprises.
Detailed participation requirements are available in the Competition Guidelines.
What types of projects are supported
In 2026, the competition focuses on initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- Goal 7 — Affordable and Clean Energy: projects promoting the use of renewable energy.
- Goal 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities: initiatives supporting sustainable local development, efficient resource use, improved access to quality services, inclusivity, and safe infrastructure.
- Goal 13 — Climate Action: educational and awareness-raising projects that foster environmental responsibility and climate-conscious behavio.
These focus areas define the framework of the competition but do not limit ideas. If a project contributes to community development and delivers a clear practical impact, it is worth submitting.
Funding
The total fund for 2026 amounts to UAH 1,875,000.
The competition plans to support 13–15 projects, each with a budget ranging from UAH 80,000 to UAH 125,000.
A key requirement is co-financing: applicants must contribute at least 10% of the total project budget. This contribution may be financial or in-kind.
What to consider before applying
The application form requires not only a brief project description but also a clear justification, including:
- the problem the project addresses in the community;
- its goal and expected results;
- the target audience;
- involved partners;
- a step-by-step implementation plan;
- the initiative’s long-term impact;
- how the community will be informed about the project’s progress.
Applications are accepted until 23:59 on May 3, 2026.
They must be submitted in Ukrainian in electronic form to csr@elementum.energy with a mandatory copy to initiative.cf@gmail.com.
Projects submitted to the competition should be planned for implementation between June 1 and September 30, 2026.
The competition is funded and implemented by Elementum Energy LLC (Ukraine) and administered by the Charity Fund “Community Development Fund ‘Initiative’”, which supports the application process, conducts technical reviews, and provides консультації to participants.
Many communities already have strong initiatives that lack the resources to launch or scale. The Elementum Energy Social Projects Competition is designed to support such solutions — practical, people-focused, and important for long-term community development.
If your community has a project that can make it more resilient, safe, inclusive, and environmentally conscious, we encourage you to turn your idea into an application and submit it to the competition.
